A big story in the news today about the guy who is displaying a crucified santa.
He says this is in protest against the over commercialization of Christmas.  He thinks the marketers have just turned Santa into a huckster for the "buy-buy-buy" mentality.  While I certainly agree with the over commercialization of Christmas (and Easter and Valentines Day and ...), He seems to have missed the main point.
Christmas isn't about Santa Claus at all.  It's supposed to be about the birth of Jesus, even though it's true that we don't really know the exact day when he was born.
