Joy to the World

Joy is getting my Christmas shopping done two weeks before Christmas (mostly online).

Joy is having enough left to give to charity.

Joy is having good weather over the Holidays.

Joy is having friends and family to share your joy.

Joy is getting the last piece of pumpkin pie.

Joy is having few things you need to resolve with a New Year's resolution.

Joy is having something you can really believe in.

When I was a child Christmas was most exciting. Mom did all the work, baked, cooked the turkey and made the meal, she brought all the gifts and wrapped them too! My Christmas is alot of work and darn expensive too. Now I am the mother and I am doing it all. really I do not like to fall into old patterns, I realize now what my mother had to go through, so I am making it easier on me!! I am changing the pattern of Christmas and making it simple and easy and inexpensive.
changing the old patterns is badly needed in this world!
Too many people use Christmas as a Drunk Fest! Too many familes have too many problems and christmas intensifies this..
Merry Christmas Everyone, may it be a drug free and alcohol free for the childrens sake!!
    Ho Ho Ho

Yes, with the changing times, houw we celebrate should change.  Keep it simple, stress free, and limit the alcohol.

I agree with every one of those! I would also ad joy is having someone to love. It doesn't matter if it's a spouse, friend, child, relative, dog, cat or other pet. The heart feels so much joy when it has someone to love.
