Apparently, the people in India don't know the popular fairy tail about the goose that laid the golden egg.  In the news today is a story about a self-proclaimed holy man in India who claimed his magic leg had great healing powers and could grant wishes.  He was attacked by two thugs who cut off the leg and took it.  I guess it wasn't so magical for him!


Elsewhere in weird news, Dutch police with Christmas spirit stopped a man for a broken headlight.  The normal procedure there is to get the driver's information and mail the ticket to his home.  The police realized the women sitting in the car with the man was a prostitute.  They allowed him to pay the fine in cash so the ticket would not be sent to his house where his wife might question why he got ticketed on a street known as a prostitute pickup point.
