Many say that gravity is the most powerful force in the universe.
If I drop a paper clip, gravity pulls it to the ground.  The gravity of the entire planet holds it there.
If I hold a small magnet above the paper clip it is lifted off the ground and to the magnet.  A tiny magnet in my hand has a tug-of-war with the gravity of the entire planet and wins!

It sounds to me like magnetism is much more powerful than gravity.  Which is good for us because it is electromagnetic force that is holding our physical bodies together while gravity is trying to pull us down and flatten us into mud puddles.
