The Lost Book of Nostradamus

I watched an interesting show on the History Channel yesterday.  It was about an old book recently discovered in the Italian National Library and credited to Nostradamus.  The book contains 21 watercolored sketches believed to predict future events.  Nostradamus was not an artist, but his son Cesar was and many believe it was Cesar who did the sketches under his father's direction or from memories of stories his father told him.  There were two things I found especially interesting in this show:
1) The time line calculated for "Armageddon" as depicted in the last of the images is the end of 2012.  Once again that year pops up in prophecy.
2) Three of the images in the final series believed to be about the End Times have a solar orb as part of the image.  The Sun in the images is not your normal, everyday sun.  It is always depicted with a face.  A face that is watching and perhaps judging.  Could this be a depiction of the Sun of Righteousness
