Charity: Kiva

A few weeks ago I heard of a charity named Kiva on an edition of CNN Heroes.  This charity makes loans to individuals trying to run small companies in third world countries.  I thought this was a great idea and joined.

    I went to the Kiva web site after reading this and I think it is a wonderful idea. I have owned a small business myself for 15 years so I know first hand how hard it can be. If it's this tough to run a business in the USA I can't even imagine how hard it must be for less privleged people in other countries that offer less opportunity.
